This herbal tea contains organic South African Honeybush, ginger, and hibiscus. Use one teaspoon for 6-8 oz teacups. Bring water to a boil (212 degrees) and steep for 8-10 mins. Add sweetener as desired.
Honeybush herbal tea is caffeine-free and grows in the Tsitsikamma mountains slopes and areas within the Eastern and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa. From September to October, the bushes in the area are covered with yellow flowers with a sweet honey fragrance. The leaves and stems are harvested, fermented, and tried to produce honeybush tea leaves. For centuries, honeybush tea has been used by the Indigenous Khoisan for medicinal purposes before commercialization.
